Judith Schaechter: The Battle of Carnival and Lent

The artist talks about her stained glass window installation at Eastern State Penitentiary.

Judith Schaechter’s art installation “The Battle of Carnival and Lent” was a series of 17 stained glass windows that were installed in skylights throughout cellblocks at the Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site. This audio was included in “The Voices of Eastern State” Audio Tour so that visitors could hear the artist talking about her work while viewing it. To produce this I interviewed the artist and edited the recording.

More about The Battle of Carnival and Lent on the artist’s webpage.
