Kenny Gamble Recalls His Early Days in Philly

Produced for the radio documentary “Going Black: The Legacy of Philly Soul Radio”

Kenny Gamble, half of the legendary Gamble & Huff songwriting and production team tells the story of how he got his start in the music business. I produced this piece as a companion to the Mighty Writers radio documentary “Going Black: The Legacy of Philly Soul Radio” which is distributed by the Public Radio Exchange. The documentary, which was co-produced by Alex Lewis and Yowei Shaw, won a 2015 Edward R. Murrow Award.
